StreamOS Docs
Guides and a full API reference for uploading video, running live streams, and receiving events — from your own backend, with no browser and no dashboard session.
Base URLhttps://api.streamos.in/api/public/v1
Your first request
Three calls, then it is transcoding
- 1Ask where to put the fileOne call returns a signed upload URL and the public URL the file will live at.
- 2Send the bytes to storageA plain PUT, straight to the bucket. The video never passes through the API.
- 3Register itPost the URL back and transcoding queues itself. You get an id and a status.
register a video
curl -X POST https://api.streamos.in/api/public/v1/videos/ \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $STREAMOS_KEY" \
-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-d '{"title":"Lecture 1","source_url":"https://…/lecture.mp4"}'Platform
What you can build
On-demand videoAsk for an upload URL, send the bytes straight to storage, then register the file. The video never passes through the API, and transcoding starts on its own.Upload URLsDirect uploadPull from a URLLive streamingCreate a stream, get an RTMP URL, and push to it from any encoder. When the broadcast ends the recording enters your library automatically.RTMP ingestScheduled streamsRecordingsPlaybackTranscoding gives you one HLS master playlist listing every quality we produced. This is what to do with that URL, and which players read it.HLS manifestRenditionsAccess & DRMWebhooksRegister a URL and we post to it when something happens, instead of you asking repeatedly whether it has.
